However, her creative roots were nurtured by her Gran, a master seamstress who could bring any idea to life without relying on a pattern. Under her guidance, Annie’s sewing journey began with crafting her own wardrobe and eventually blossomed into a lifelong dedication to quilting.
Today, Annie’s favorite aspect of traveling and teaching isn’t just sharing her wealth of expertise, but the opportunity to connect with people. She thrives on the stories and personalities she encounters. Annie’s mission is to empower quilters with accessible and innovative techniques while preserving the tradition and beauty of quilting as a storytelling art form. Her expertise is Machine Applique (using those fabulous 28 weight Aurifil threads), Color Sense — which is Color Theory as related to choosing fabrics for quilts, and Aurifil Thread Matters, a workshop dedicated to assisting quilters with the knowledge of all things Aurifil.
